"The Passing of the Gavel"

The Cleveland Daily Banner should have an article, Sunday, September 24, 2006. 

On Wednesday, September 20, 2006,  after an "Upper Room" devotional led by Bishop Wayne Hall, representatives from the International Office met in the formal office of the General Overseer, Bishop Fred S. Fisher, Sr.

This was a sweet time of fellowship for all that were able to participate. 

Office staff and visitors were present.

Bishop Fisher called the meeting to order by focusing our thoughts on scripture that framed this special day. 

Bishop Fisher asked Bishop Howard to take the seat in the General Overseer's Office. 

Bishop Adrian Varlack prayed for the blessings and the direction of the Lord. 

The guidance of the Lord is sought. 

As Bishop Howard was anointed, the body prayed as well. 

The International Office staff was asked to step in and pray. 

Bishop Fisher requested Bishop Sam Clements to pray a special prayer both for North America as well as a special blessing from North America.

Bishop Howard then called for the Fishers to step forward and a special blessing be placed on them as they work as General Overseer Emeritus. 

All joined in prayer.

At the conclusion of the prayer

We blessed those around us with prayer and expressions of love.
